What a neutron star would look like if it were just outside New York

neutron star

Ignoring the fact that if a neutron star would suddenly appear near New York (it’s always New York with this stuff), it would quickly crunch the Earth and dramatically destabilize the solar system – this is how it would look like. The shade may be a bit of an awkward touch, but that’s generally how it would look like

That’s right, it’s as massive as 500.000 Earths put together – and it’s just a touch smaller than New York. How can this be? Feel free to check our previous article explaining this, and is this fascinates you, be sure to also check other stories on neutron stars.
